Dean McCreadie

Co-Owner &
Band Leader

Dean McCreadie is a guitarist, singer, and educator whose career spans punk, rockabilly, metal, and jump blues. Performing and recording since 2000, he has toured extensively across the UK, Japan, and the US, sharing stages and studio time with artists including Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Mick Jones (The Clash), The Damned, and CJ Wildheart.

 

Dean is an in-demand session musician and co-owner of Worcester Rock School, where he helps nurture the next generation of musicians. He also teaches internationally online and runs the Twenty Flight Rockabilly Guitar Clinic — an online learning community of over 3,600 students worldwide.

Rhys Stansfield

Co-Owner & Band Leader

Rhys has over 30 years’ experience as a multi-instrumentalist, starting with piano before moving on to guitar, bass, and drums.

 

A former RockSchool student turned tutor and now co-owner, he studied guitar at ACM in Guildford and has taught for over 20 years. With a background in gigging, writing, and recording, he’s committed to helping the next generation of musicians build skills and confidence.

Jess Allen

Co-Owner & Band Leader

Jess has been playing guitar for over 20 years and studied Vocals at BIMM Brighton, where she had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known musicians from the industry. With experience in performing, songwriting, and recording, Jess is currently part of a popular covers band and also performs solo with her acoustic guitar.

Jess has her own music tuition business and has become co-owner of Rock School.  She focuses on performance skills and confidence-building, and takes great pride in helping students achieve their musical goals.

Charlie Garfield

Band Leader

Charlie is a talented multi-instrumentalist with expertise in drums, guitar, and bass. He first joined Worcester Rock School as a student in 2016 and, just a year later, stepped into a tutoring role—remaining a valued member of the team ever since.

An experienced performer, Charlie has played with a variety of bands across the Worcester music scene, honing his skills both on stage and in the studio.

Charlie holds a degree in Professional Musicianship from the British and Irish Modern Music Institute, specialising in drums, and brings a mix of professional training and hands-on experience to inspire and guide his students.

Kerry White

Band Leader

Kerry has over 25 years of experience teaching bass and music theory. She previously ran Muzos Music Shop and Teaching Academy in Kidderminster and worked with RockSchool over a decade ago before going on to establish Rock Academy Worcester.

An experienced performer, Kerry has played in various bands over the years and now tours with Gypsy Pistoleros, who have achieved chart success with their album releases.

Rob Harper-Charles

Band Leader

Rob is a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he specialised in Jazz Drums. With roots in both jazz and rock, he began his drumming journey as a student at Worcester RockSchool.

 

He has performed at venues including Upton Jazz Festival, Symphony Hall, Eastside Jazz Club, and internationally at events such as Trondheim Jazz Fest in Norway.

Rob now focuses on education—he is an Accredited Teacher for Encore Enterprises, coaches bands at RockSchool, and also teaches privately.

Eli Cameron

Band Leader

Eli Cameron is a professional musician & producer with over 30 years' experience of working in touring bands, both as a keyboard player and singer, often taking on the role of musical director.


A trained vocalist, Eli has been teaching contemporary voice since 1998. He has arranged for & led choirs ranging from 11 members to over 1,000 (the latter for BBC "Big Sing" events in aid of Children In Need) and also arranges and produces music from his home studio across many styles (spanning Rock, Pop, Jazz, Country, Orchestral & more) for professional singers & bands.

Autumn Golding

Band Leader

Autumn is a multi-instrumentalist, specialising in vocals and rhythm guitar. She holds a Career Musician degree from WaterBear College of Music and has a strong background in songwriting, recording, and live performance.

 

Autumn also works in further education, teaching creative arts to students with additional needs. She’s passionate about helping young musicians build confidence and express themselves through music.

Teodor Herbei

Band Assistant

Ted has 8+ years of guitar experience, with a focus on styles like funk, rock, blues, and metal.

 

A former RockSchool student, he now studies Guitar Performance at BIMM Birmingham and has experience in live performance, songwriting, and recording.

Charlie Whittaker

Band Assistant

Charlie has been playing guitar for over six years and is a founding member of the band Flight of The Hearts, formed at Worcester RockSchool. They've performed at events including Glastonberrow, Redditch Has Talent Final, and the Drunken Monkey Rock Festival.

A huge AC/DC fan, Charlie brings his passion for rock music into his teaching and performance, inspiring students with energy and enthusiasm.

Work for us

Are you a talented rock musician and/or vocalist—skilled enough to teach a second instrument too? If so, you could be exactly who we’re looking for!

We’re building a list of enthusiastic, capable tutors to join our team. Our band coaching sessions run on Saturdays for a couple of hours, helping young musicians prepare for an end-of-term performance.

Our tutors are not only accomplished performers but also passionate teachers—organised, supportive, and confident in guiding a band from rehearsal to stage.

All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.
